(PRWEB) August 17, 2004 -- Designer Ash Rana: Born in the capital city of Katmandu, Nepal, Ash Rana was influenced by an eclectic mix of cultures from the vibrant colors of India to the intricate designs of Tibetan mandalas. His interest in fashion design brought him from Nepal via Pakistan to New York City at the age of seventeen, where he attended the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). From New York City, he moved to Miami Beach in 1995 to begin work on his own company, Ash Rana Inc, which was born in 2001. The boldness of pop culture infused with ancient Eastern motifs, was an immediate hit with stylists, models, club kids, and rock stars of all genres.
Some of Ash Ranas celebrity clients include: Juanes, Lil' Kim, Tim McGraw, Paulina Rubio, Thalia, Carlos Ponce, 3LW, Odalys Garcia, Pilar Montenegro, Trina, and the band Kinky.
His looks have been featured on MTV Latino, a fashion show with Fashion TV, showcased during the launch of Gen Art Miami , as well as designed the dresses for the Elite Model Look of the year Columbia at Cartagena 2002, and Elite Model Look of the year in Panama 2003. He was also recently featured in the Jan 04 issue of Womens Wear Daily.
