Uniastrum ST Fund becomes Across Fund PLC
London, UK (PRWEB) August 19, 2004 -- Uniastrum ST Fund Limited, an Experienced Investor Fund, based in the Isle of Man, has changed its name to Across Fund PLC and introduced a new multi-class share structure to better address the needs of its steadily growing investor base.
All assets of former Uniastrum ST Fund went into the Series A shares of Across Fund PLC to continue uninterrupted trading.
Uniastrum ST Fund started trading in July 2002 and recently celebrated it's second year in active trading. Since then the assets under management increased six-fold due to influx of new investors and accumulated profits as well.
The fund consistently outperforms both the S&P500 and its peer group- the single advisor managed futures funds.
The use of the gradualistic, well-balanced strategy along with the certain discretion exercised, made it possible to produce consistent gains and remain fully uncorrelated to the equity market and managed futures indices at the same time.
The fund is an unregulated investment scheme" under UK laws and can be marketed to institutional and expert" investors.
Due to it's uncorrelated nature, the fund is well positioned for the pension fund portfolios diversification. Pension funds in the United Kingdom as well as in continental Europe are becoming more and more interested in alternative investment classes, as the investment instruments deemed to be traditional" are not performing well enough to compensate the deficits that still remain in place since the prolonged world equity market downturn of late.
Four more classes of shares are to be launched later this year. They include two hedge sub-funds, one regional property and one US equity "black box" strategy.
The fund is advised by Uniastrum Capital Limited, a UK fund manager, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
