Dynamic Country Music Format To Launch Online
Launching September 23, 2004, 24Country.com will begin streaming its broadcast of the Country Music of yesterday and today. Using an approach that marries old and new Country Music, 24Country is positioned to proved the listener with a great experience.
(PRWEB) August 19, 2004 -- Returning to the roots of Country Music Radio, 24Country.com is set to launch September 23, 2004. "We'll be doing the things that made Country Music Radio a great format to listen to," said 24Country General Manager Mike Chambers. "Today Country Music listeners are forced to choose between New Country and Classic Country, we're turning back the hands of time by marrying old and new together into an online radio format that will keep people coming back for more," Chambers said, "There are very few places that one can hear Merle Haggard and George Jones alongside of today's new artists, we're going to change that. We're taking forty(40) years of great Country Music and enfusing the music together to make one incredible sound for listeners to enjoy."
24Country is set to be available to both broadband and dialup internet users utilizing technology that will allow for clear stereo sound at lower streaming speeds. "Even dialup users can hear 24Country in stereo while broadband users can listen without sucking up their available bandwidth," Chambers added. He continues, "It's our goal to make 24Country available to everyone regardless of their connection."
When asked about a revenue model Mr. Chambers responded, "We'll be playing commercials. A subscription model just isn't practical for the listener. They're being asked to pay up almost everywhere these days and I just don't see people shelling out another ten dollars here and there per month for entertainment and information." He went on, "Mind you, we will not be shoving 20 minutes of commercials down the listener's throat like AM and FM stations do today. We'll be tasteful about it."
"Our ultimate desire is to play the best Country Music period while entertaining and informing our audience," Chambers added in conclusion.
