inFabric Technologies receives Notice of Patent Application.
A new approach implementing cache management to improve I/O performance and data throughput for hardware and software vendors is now protected technology.
Edmonds, WA (PRWEB) August 21, 2004 -- inFabric Technologies Inc., the global leader in data acceleration technology today announced the United States Patent and Trademark Office has Published the companys application for a Patent entitled "Data Aware Data Flow Manager". The publication is the last step before acceptance and final filing of a US Patent for the technology, and qualifies the company for retroactive collection of royalties until the date when the patent is issued.
The publication number is US 2004/ 0117441 A1, and can be located on the Patent Office Web Site at http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html
The publication of this patent application further strengthens the company's technological leadership position and reaffirms its commitment to innovation and ingenuity. InFabric Technologies developed this technology to provide improved performance of data throughput over conduits that are in use, industry wide. These would include: fibre channel, I-SCSI, SCSI, S-ATA, SAS and Infiniband, to name a few.
By use of this technology, systems can experience a dramatic improvement in application performance, particularly those that are experiencing degradation due to heavy I/O traffic, such as databases.
We are excited by the recognition that our technology is unique in its concept and application, and we look forward to working with our partners to give them a competitive performance edge in their respective product spaces", said Steve Kahle, President of inFabric Technologies.
Currently, the company is discussing the potential application of its technology into disk drives, motherboards, switches, controllers (RAID and HBA) with industry leading manufacturers as well as software developers.
Our concept is ubiquitous in its application", said Wei Liu, CTO of inFabric Technologies, and co-author of the document. It could conceivably be used anywhere where devices are using cache memory to accelerate system performance. And our technology, which is readily adaptable for use into these devices, can further improve the performance and efficiency of their internal cache and, as a result, the system applications."
InFabric is currently providing demonstrations of its Marlin, which is a hardware implementation of its Data Aware Data Flow Manager, for OEMs and system integrators.
