FREESTYLE: The Art of Rhyme (aprox: 74 min, US, Super 16mm, 2004)
Explosively documenting the world of improvisational Hip-Hop, Freestyle provides an authentic look into the life, music and history of this underground culture. Packed with rare and archival footage of some of the most amazing hip-hop MC's ever to bless the mic! No showing of this non-profit documentary is ever the same; new edits being performed live on the fly by DJ Organic on DVD VJ turntables. This work in progress, is 1/2 art house cinema 1/2 underground mix-tape! A DJ plays for the audience before and after every screening; the filmmakers usually introduce the film and answer questions from the audience and there's an Open Mic and/or Cipher after every screening.

The Center for Hip-Hop Education presents Festival Outreach Screenings and develops Teachers Guides and bibliographies for teachers to facilitate discussions with their students and experts following screenings. Teachers are encouraged to continue the discussion started at these screenings back in the classroom to maximize the learning experience.
