Silicon Valley based Heritage Ventures acquired regional Mexican Food Chain Una Mas in August 2004.

(PRWEB) August 22, 2004 -- Silicon Valley based Heritage Ventures acquired regional Mexican Food Chain Una Mas in August 2004. The terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Founded in 1991 in Bay Area, Calif., Una Mas saw tremendous growth, and by 1996 the company opened 23 restaurants. In 1997 Una Mas acquired Pollo Rey, Inc. and added an additional 20 locations to the company, bringing the total to 43 restaurants in all major cities of California, Oregon and Illinois. In 2001 the company underwent major restructuring and downsizing. Today Una Mas has 21 restaurants and has successfully franchised over 50% of its locations.

Jag Kapoor of Heritage Ventures commented, Una Mas runs 21 restaurants in California and hopes to have stores Nation-wide and in Global markets.
