Videoscopes are used to in the Power, Petrochemical, Aviation, and Oil and Gas Industries to visually inspect Gas Turbines, Rotating Equipment, and Process Piping for damage, corrosion and other problems. These videoscope, small diameter optical instruments, are frequently damaged due to the harsh environments in which they are used. Historically videoscope users replaced entire products when damage occurred. In most cases a single component of the scope did not function properly yet the whole scope had to be replaced.
