Shantu predicts that present PGE electric consumers could save as much as 40 percent of their present billings by switching to Washngton County PUD which would receive electricity directly from Bonneville Power Administration offering reduced rates to NorthWest public utilties and bulk power users starting year 2006.
Uitilities like PGE have a very large overhead of high salaried executives, administrators and profit minded shareholders, as well as high operationg costs of coal and gas powered generating stations compared to the very cheap hydro power produced through the Columbia River federal government dams owned bt the Citizens of the United States of America.
Shantu suggests voters to become educated through the BPA website and not to believe what the executives and rate-payers paid adversitsments and sound-bites of PGE would like you to listen, as they have their own axe to grind.
The "Public Power costs less."
"It does not matter how you slice the cake, you always taste it delicious." Shantu has several years of experience in the management, operations and design-construction of public and private utilities. "If you do not use your birth right to a cheap electricity you surely loose it like a water through the dam."
