US firm Defense Solutions and Hungarian Company Currus to team to rebuild US Army Vehicles and equipment in Europe

Washington, DC-headquartered Defense Solutions, LLC announced today that it reached agreement with CURRUS Combat Vehicle Technique Company, a company owned by the Government of Hungary, to rebuild US Army vehicles and equipment in Europe. The US Army equipment is coming from or going to US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

(PRWEB) August 22, 2004 -- Defense Solutions, LLC, a Pennsylvania company headquartered in Washington, DC, announced that it has entered an agreement with the CURRUS Combat Vehicle Technique Company, a joint-stock company owned by the Government of Hungary, to rebuild US Army equipment in Europe. CURRUS performs the general overhaul of main battle tanks and other armored and tactical vehicles and equipment for the Hungarian Army and several other European nations. CURRUS is the only industrial organization doing this type of work in Hungary.

The Defense Solutions led team is competing to rebuild US Army equipment coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan that is being exchanged with US Army equipment stored in Europe.

Hungary is a member of NATO and the European Union and provided forces in support of US operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. In his recently announced military force restationing plan, President Bush expressed the possibility that some US forces leaving Germany may be moved eastward to Hungary.
