Tier 1 Partners Announces Finance Integration Server at Longview Solutions Dialog 2004

Tier 1 Partners announced today that it presented at Longview Solutions Dialog 2004 user conference which took place May 25-28, 2004 in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.

Tier 1 Partners presentation topic was the integration of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) into the enterprise environment. Due to its wide reach, CPM requires interoperability with the diverse systems of an organization in areas such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Capital Management, Asset Management and legacy systems.

The challenge faced by many organizations is that their information infrastructure is commonly composed of many different types of data source (e.g., databases, legacy, and flat files)-all speaking different languages but in order to effectively plan and manage organizations need unfettered access to real-time information. In fact, according to Hackett Group, even world-class companies operate 27 finance systems per $1 billon of revenue, while that number for an average-sized company is 48.

Tier 1 Partners solution to this problem is a new product under development-Finance Integration Server (FIS). FIS facilitates ERP extraction and mapping and provides seamless integration of Corporate Performance Management tools with the rest of the enterprise environment. Finance Integration Server is a one source extraction and mapping tool to automatically bridge data from many ERP systems and external sources. It can perform automated input of data in a scheduled or ad-hoc fashion without extensive system administration.

Key benefits provided by the Finance Integration Server include:

Automates extraction of financial data from source systems, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Peoplesoft, SAP and many others

Provides a flexible mechanism to map, transform, cleanse and aggregate account, entity and dimension information

Validates data transformations by user defined rules (eg: total expenses equal the sum of all expense accounts)

Houses financial data from disparate systems in a unified data model and handles unlimited number of analysis dimensions

Tier 1 is currently working with a group of early adopters to develop and test the solution but fully expects to have a commercially available product by Q1 '05.
