SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) August 24, 2004 -- (www.after-effect.net) -
San Franciso Bay Area based rock band After Effect today announced the release of their debut EP titled "Don't Tell Me". The EP features eight powerful songs, sounding like a fusion of Audioslave, Nirvana and Metallica.

From the moment the title track 'Don't Tell Me' begins playing, you will be captivated by the emotional melodic vocals, addictive rock riffs and soul shaking beats on this EP. Appealing to a broad audience the EP features softer tracks such as 'How Long' and 'Destination Eve' telling tales of emotional pain that will be familiar to many, and tracks such as 'Eternity' and '23:27' that are pure untainted hard rock.

"We're all really pleased with how this EP turned out" says Australian-born front man Ryan Junee, "and we hope our music will find its way to the people out there who just aren't being satisfied by current commercial rock offerings."

Formed in late 2003, After Effect consists of four members, Ryan Junee on vocals and guitar, Bryan Kerr on Guitar, Dianna Ferrand on Bass and Brian Romans on drums. "We discovered instant chemistry with each other, and it took almost no effort at all to start turning our ideas into a solid hard rock sound" says Kerr. The four met at Stanford University and in their spare time are studying towards bachelors, masters and even PhD degrees!

So where can you see After Effect live? "With the EP now behind us, we are very much looking forward to playing regular shows starting on the West Coast" says Junee. Check the web site to find out about upcoming shows in your area.

For a limited time, the band has made all eight songs available on their web site to celebrate the EP release. Visit http://www.after-effect.net to download the songs.
