Telecel selects ACLs unique Wireless Instant Messaging solution

ACL to provide new communication channel to Telecel subscribers

Paraguay (PRWEB) August 25, 2004 -- Telecel S.A., the largest cellular telephony operator in Paraguay, introduced TIGO, the new brand for their new GSM Network and today announced the launch of ACLs Wireless Instant Messenger (WIM). TIGO is launching ACL WIB Client platform that will be available to its subscriber at a rate of USD0.03 per message sent. This application is based on ACLs latest offering on Wireless Instant Messaging solution packed with popular features such as login to Yahoo, MSN, ICQ messenger services and Friend finder.

On TIGO, the service will be available via WIB, a SIM based Value Added Services where the subscriber can use simple phone menus to access services from the mobile phone and there is no need to remember the short code number. Delivering ease-of-use and menu-driven navigation, the Telecel infrastructure will control the delivery and presentation of data services on the mobile handset, allowing the users to browse their SIM menu and select applications or interact with the services deployed.
