Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 25, 2004
Kewl International (Other OTC: KWLI.PK- News) said today it has finalized its previously announced agreement with Kool Telecom for the launch of a unique, hockey-based "Collector Series" pre-paid telephone card. The initial series will feature Toronto Maple Leaf star forward Darcy Tucker and is expected to be available at select leading Ontario retailers in September, to be followed by cards featuring other fan favorites in targeted cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Andrew Wells, president of Kool Telecom, who will be spearheading the launch, stated, "We're extremely delighted to be teaming with Kewl to bring this unique and exciting new product to hockey fans across North America and strongly believe it has a great chance of becoming a cherished and valuable collectible."
Mr. Wells added, "We're working feverishly on a variety of exciting marketing concepts and promotions to break through the phone card 'clutter' and get the attention of our targeted consumers. Beyond the initial stage, working closely with Kewl, we're confident of being able to extend the calling card product to other leading sports with fans both here and on other continents."
Domenic Fanelli, chairman and president of Kewl International, stated, "We're especially pleased that Darcy Tucker, a Toronto favorite and long time Kewl supporter, will be the first player to be featured in the 'Collector Series.' We expect he will be joined over time by other players who love the Kewl brand and what it represents."
He added, "For Kewl International, this represents a unique opportunity to generate highly profitable revenues within the first 30 to 90 days of the launch, as well as a potentially significant ongoing revenue stream as the cards reach new markets throughout North America and elsewhere. The company also continues to work on hammering out details of other important initiatives we've announced and hopes to have these in place in the near future."
The company said that as the "Collector Series" reaches the market it will provide additional details and updates on its progress.
