The site provides the capability to order an entire outfit with the click of a single button. “Our goal in designing our Body Central website was to offer easy navigation, engage the consumer and suggest the best coordinating item with the item they’ve selected,” said Beth Angelo, VP and General Merchandising Manager. “This ensures the best shopping experience guaranteeing that they are always just a click away from the perfect look they need for any occasion. We offer quality sportswear, dresses, outerwear, accessories and shoes that feature name brands and our own creative designs, but our success has been our ability to provide the latest trends at prices young women can afford,” said Angelo.

Body Central’s merchandise sells itself. “We don’t take out full-page ads or over-advertise. The teens, college students, missy and young professionals who buy our merchandise appreciate the brands we offer at prices they can afford,” said Angelo. Some of the merchandise mix includes their own trademark Lipstick™ brand, Bongo®, LEI® and Jou Jou®, just to name a few. Additionally, the website also features a store locator and many photos of their brick-and-mortar stores found throughout the U.S. This allows developers and mall owners the opportunity to preview the Body Central, Body Shop, and Kat Man Du chains.

Body Central is part of Body Shop of America, Inc., which operates stores under the names of Body Central, Body Shop, and Kat Man Du. Body Shop of America, Inc. was founded in 1973 by Jerrold and Ronnie Rosenbaum opening their first store in Jacksonville, Florida. Still privately owned with corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, they currently operate over 154 stores in 19 states across the country with an aggressive annual expansion plan. Almost nationwide, they are located in many major malls.
