St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) August 26, 2004 -
MasterCard International has signed on as a leading sponsor of a gala event that celebrates Family Resource CenterÂs 30 years of helping prevent child abuse and neglect among children throughout the St. Louis area.
The dinner and auction will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004, at MasterCardÂs Global Technology and Operations Headquarters in OÂFallon, MO. MasterCard is serving as a platinum-level sponsor at the $10,000 level, and Family Resource Center has additional sponsorships, donation opportunities and tickets available for the event.
ÂDuring our 30 years of helping children recover from child abuse and neglect, we have had many good friends and supporters, said Family Resource Center Executive Director Greg Echele. ÂMasterCard is one of our most stalwart supporters, and their participation at this special event is invaluable.Â
Since FRC opened its doors in 1974, more than 90,000 people have been helped by the agencyÂs programs in family preservation and reunification, child abuse prevention and treatment, foster care and adoption, mentoring, training and counseling.
ÂFor three decades Family Resource Center has served St. Louis families at little or no cost. In 2003 alone, the agency served more than 10,000 children and their families, said Michael Manchisi, senior vice president of computer and network services at MasterCard International. ÂWe are proud to help honor Family Resource Center for the critical difference they make for families in our community, and we invite concerned people across the region to join us in supporting the 30th Anniversary Gala.Â
The event includes dinner, an awards presentation and a live and silent auction with items including a DVD of ÂThe Bourne Identity, autographed by the filmÂs star, Matt Damon; pearl, sapphire and other jewelry; trips within the U.S. and Europe and sports items including a batting helmet autographed by members of the 2004 Cardinals.
