Stylish Tubes for Cosmstics, Foods, Toiletries and Pharmaceuticals

(PRWEB) August 28, 2004 -- On show in booth E-9254 (Lower Lakeside Hall) at PackExpo 2004, held at McCormicks Place in Chicago, November 7th through November 11th, is one of the custom built ALS T-Series tube labelers from Advanced Labelling Systems Ltd (ALS). Capable of labeling plastic, aluminum and laminate tubes these labellers are giving ideal solutions for confectionery, cosmetics, toiletries and pharmaceutical manufacturers wanting to make their products stand out from the crowd and reduce costs at the same time. As well as utilising the latest labeling trends, such as clear-on-clear, no-label look and multi-page booklet labels, the ALS T-Series offers a cost effective and highly accurate alternative to direct tube printing for items across all industry sectors.

Packaging is essential in todays market place as it reflects the brands image. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of different brands and high quality packaging at low cost is vital for those manufacturers wanting to retain market share. ALS T-Series labelers can offer the solution, providing enhanced quality presentation with reduced production costs. Direct printing onto tubes can have design limitations, quality issues and lengthy change over times, so by using labels, brand images can be updated cost effectively and quickly.

The ability of the T-Series labelers to label two labels in registration means that a generic tube can be used for many different products. Confectionery cosmetics and toiletries reveal an ideal situation, these products are often packed using the same size and shape tube, but with many variations on color. By using a generic tube with different barcode and corresponding color spot labels, say for flavours or make-up tints, costs and wastage are reduced, together with raw material stock holding of tubes. This process is already being used with enormous effect throughout the world, including leading US and UK cosmetics manufacturers and a major packing contractor in Thailand, in conjunction with inspection and rejection systems also supplied by ALS.

ALS T-Series tube labelers are unique, guaranteeing excellent synchronisation and registration; they apply labels under greater tensions and dress down with high pressure rollers, eliminating the chance of trapping air bubbles during application thus ensuring the high quality presentation demanded by todays market. These labelers can be used as stand alone units equally suited to being part of in-line filling conveying systems, capable of matching filling equipment speeds.
Phil Donaldson, Sales and Marketing Director at ALS, explains that, Our latest tube labeling technology has been developed for use in a wide range of applications, but it is especially suited to the cosmetics, toiletries and pharmaceutical industries where the requirement is typically to alter packaging so that its inline with the latest trends. ALS has had success with the ALS T-Series worldwide, with installations throughout the USA, Europe and Asia."

ALS are proud to be associate members of the American Tube Council.
