This will be a celebration for the many who took part in the Danceteria nightlife of the 80's. Danceteria represented the pinnacle of that lost era's decadence and creativity. Many popular artists performed at Danceteria in the earliest stages of their careers and will be making surprise appearances.

I,Synthesist (a.k.a composer/producer Chris Ianuzzi) is a local favorite with the electronic set here in NYC and has been receiving an avalanche (sorry!) of international praise and shout-outs from music publications, record executives, and others in the business as well as fans who come to the show again and again and bring their friends. It is this organic popularity that is known to be the best way to gain real fans rather than the hype that comes with one weeks Village Voice listing and leaves with the next.

As a modern curator of sound and vision, a new music composer/producer, a synthesist and a performer, part of the fun of live performance for Ianuzzi is in experimenting with new elements for each show. Joining him onstage might be interpretive dancers, latex-clad go-go girls, an opera diva with a range that could handily ruin a china shop or special effects tools such as an electronic synthesizer called a Kaoss pad to name a few. (He sings, too. But you knew that. )
