Professor Stuart Lindsay Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

Molecular Imaging co-founder recognized for pioneering contributions to the field of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM)

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) August 30, 2004 -- Molecular Imaging is pleased to announce that Professor Stuart Lindsay, a pioneer in the field of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) and one of the companys co-founders, has been elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Lindsay was recognized for "Seminal contributions to single molecular biophysics, including the development and application of scanning probe microscopy technologies to important problems in biophysics."

Lindsay stated that he was pleased and surprised to get a letter telling him of the election." He continued, It is a significant honor for me to receive peer recognition for doing the work that I enjoy."

Professor Lindsay is the director of the Center for Single Molecule Biophysics at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University (ASU). Currently Vice President and Technology Advisor at Molecular Imaging, Lindsay remains active in on-going product development and operations at the company. Recently, his team at ASU was instrumental in the design and development of Molecular Imagings PicoTREC Topography and RECognition system, the recipient of a 2004 R&D 100 Award.
