Fox News Channel Welcomes America's Car to New York City

The Fox News Channel's Fox and Friends show welcome "America's Car" to New York City as it begins a two day display at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.

New York, NY (PRWEB) August 29, 2004 -- Americas Car rolled into New York City and was featured on the 7:30am segment of the Fox News Channels Fox and Friends show. The authentic NASCAR race car, configured for racing, with a 750hp engine, is on a nationwide tour to salute Americas Employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists. A series of Support Our Troops" banners accompany the car and when filled with signatures, are sent to US military installations in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations overseas.

Fox and Friends morning hosts E.D. Hill, Steve Doocy, and Brian Kilmeade interviewed Mr. Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director, signed the Support Our Troops" banner, and helped an adoring NASCAR fan from Oklahoma into the drivers seat of Americas Car.

Saluting Americas Employers is the right thing to do, and this is the right time to do it", said Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director. During this time of unprecedented mobilizations of the brave men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve an essential alliance has been formed with many of Americas Employers. These employers have become inextricably linked to the nations defense by sharing their most precious asset, their employees," added Hollingsworth.

This proactive National Employer Outreach Program is a first for ESGR, a Department of Defense volunteer organization, know formerly as a resource primarily for Guardsmen and Reservists. Partnering with local Chambers of Commerce, and other business organizations, ESGR will conduct employer outreach events in approximately 100 cities this year.

Americas Car will be on display at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, Pier 86, 12th Avenue and West 46th Street in New York City on August 27th and 28th, 2004. All residents of New York City are invited to have their pictures taken with Americas Car, and to sign the Support Our Troops Banners". The national goal is to collect 1.2 million signatures, one for every man women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
