Trenton Capital Rainbowfest Launches Website - Links All Sponsors, Exhibitors and Vendors Through 2005

New Jersey's Fall Pride Event Opens www.capitalrainbowfest.org to provide information for visitors, sponsors vendors and exhbitors.

Trenton, NJ (PRWEB) August 30, 2004 -- WWW.CAPITALRAINBOWFEST.ORG - Your business or organization could be linked all through 2005 through the official website of New Jersey's classic Fall Pride Event!

Capital Rainbowfest, the annual Trenton Gay Pride event, will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Trentons picturesque and historic Mill Hill Park. The festival will run from 1-6 p.m. rain or shine and there is a $5 suggested donation. Capital Rainbowfest features live music and entertainment, merchants and artisans, business services and community organizations, a wide variety of food and drink, and a kidspace activity area. Details are being added daily to www.capitalrainbowfest.org

While a small program highlighting contributors of more than $250 will be available at the festival, CapitalRainbowfest has committed to providing a unique benefit to all its commercial and non-profit participants -- a link to their website (or contact information) on the all-new www.capitalrainbowfest.org website.

"It's an unprecedented opportunity for organizations, business and profesionals trying to reach New Jersey's economically powwerful but sometimes elusive gay and lesbian demographic," said Dennis C. McGrath, publicity coordinator for Capital Rainbowfest. "With this website, our partners in presenting Capital Rainbowfest are assured of continued exposure to the LBGBTI (lesbian gay bisexual transgendered intersexed) through 2005, until we start editing the site for next year's event."

"It's better than a paper program--it can't be thrown away in a minute, it lasts all year, and you can Google it. It's another entree into your existing website," McGrath commented. "And that entree identifies your enterprise as gay-friendly. Poll after poll has made the same point--gay consumers only spend money where they feel wanted. And they demand active proof of this."

This is the third year the Trenton Gay and Lesbian Civic Association has run CapitalRainbowfest, and considering the events of this year for same sex couples, we expect a lot of publicity in advance of the festival and a great day with great attendance.

The Trenton Gay and Lesbian Civic Association is a respected and well-known member of the Trenton Civic community; we are members of the South Broad St. Civic Assoc. and the Trenton Community Civic Assoc. Please consider being a vendor/exhibitor at this wonderful annual event. There is a short and a long version of the announcement that follows.

Capital Rainbowfest is one of thousands that are held across the globe each year to celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and intersex (GLBTI) pride worldwide. Capital Rainbowfest's primary sponsors are the Trenton Gay and Lesbian Civic Association (TGLCA) and the Personal Liberty Fund.

The New Jersey Lesbian and Gay Coalition will present its ever-expanding New Jersey Gay History Traveling Museum; Coalition members will be available, along with members of dozens of other GLBTI organizations, to assist you with any questions you may have about
domestic partnership, marriage equality, hate crime legislation, and other issues of importance to the GLBTI community in gay-friendly New Jersey. Many social, civic and arts organizations will have exhibits and information available too.

The NAMES Projects AIDS Memorial Quilt will feature a huge exhibition tent with dozens of quilt panels and information on the NAMES project. Many other AIDS service and assistance organizations will be available to answer any and all questions you may have about free HIV and AIDS testing and how you can help reduce the spread of this killer disease.

Capital Rainbowfest entertainment highlights will include live performances from Josh Zuckerman, Nelson "FFWD" Cruz, Lisa Bouchelle and October Baby, Gary Paul Wright and The Andi Roselle Band. Many additional performers to be announced shortly. The stage area will also feature appearances by Miss Gay New Jersey 2004, Empress Viscaya, Mr. Gay New Jersey 2004, Alan-Joseph, and the irresistable Ms. Dyana Nixon.

Each year we celebrate the diversity of our community as well as the incredible civil rights gains everywhere," said TGLCA president Robert Laczko. This year in New Jerseys capital we have more reason to celebrate our community pride than ever before -- both gay and non-gay. With the Domestic Partnership Law in our great state and so many GLBTI community groups and their allies working so hard for full civil rights in New Jersey, 2004 is truly a year of great pride. Our Capital city of Trenton is also beginning a true renaissance in business, arts and entertainment with input from all parts of the city. Corporate sponsors this year include: Buddies Pub, ID Lube and Out in Jersey magazine.

Thank you. I am TGLCA member Dennis McGrath; TGLCA vice president Peter Frycki is the contact for the event. E-mail Peter at outinjersey@earthlink.net for event or vendor information.
