(PRWEB) August 30, 2004 -- The Longmont Area Economic Council (LAEC) sponsored a breakfast on August 26th hosted by the Colorado Software and Internet Association (CSIA) titled "Company Success Stories". The event was held at the Cable Center on the University of Denver campus. LAEC President and CEO John Cody moderated a panel discussion by representatives from Digital Globe, Time Warner Telecom and Evolving Systems. LAEC previously sponsored a CSIA event profiling successful Colorado companies in February 2004.

Each of these companies faced dramatic challenges to their survival and found ways to emerge successfully and poised for the future. The panel shared insights on their industry and their business condition revealing their resilient nature.

"We focus on bringing executive-level insight to our events, including the issues of most importance to CEOs," notes Su Hawk, CSIA president. "Partnering with the LAEC has been highly effective, as John Cody and his staff are serious about advanced technology industries, and consistently demonstrate that acumen by attracting top-notch technology executives and their companies to Longmont."

"These panels provide an excellent opportunity for CSIA members and others to learn from leaders in the local business community," notes John Cody, CED, president and CEO of the Longmont Area Economic Council. "It also showcases Colorado as a place that continues to produce successful world-class technology companies serving national and international customer bases."

Executives on the panel from the three Colorado companies featured at the meeting included:

Herbert F. Satterlee III, chairman and chief executive officer of Longmont-based Digital Globe. A market leader in Earth imaging and information, Digital Globe relocated within Longmont and doubled the space it occupies earlier this year.

Michael A. Rouleau, senior vice president of business development for Littleton-based Time Warner Telecom. In September 2003, Network IT Managers polled by Network Magazine ranked the company as the best Internet service provider in the U.S.

Steven K. Gartside, Jr., CEO and president of Littleton-based Evolving Systems. The company provides software solutions to leading telecom companies, and this year was recognized as an outstanding supplier to SBC Communications, Inc., one of the worlds leading data, voice and Internet service providers.
