Empire Football League Extends Season By One Week

Due to the number of no fault forfeits that the Empire Football League has experienced to date, the season is being extended by one week to October 23rd. This extension will provide the extra week of October 2nd as an opportunity for teams to complete unfinished games.

Due to the number of no fault forfeits that the Empire Football League has experienced to date, the season is being extended by one week to October 23rd. This extension will provide the extra week of October 2nd as an opportunity for teams to play the following games:

-Green Mountain vs Lake City cancellation from July 17th

-Reading vs Orange County cancellation from July 24th

-St Lawrence vs Glens Falls cancellation from July 31st

-Scranton vs Amsterdam cancellation from August 14th

Additional rescheduled events include:

  • EFL Season End Meeting Sunday, October 3rd at Saratoga
  • Playoffs consisting of top 4 teams in each division (per annual meeting):
-October 9th (4th ranked at 1st; 3rd ranked at 2nd)

-October 16th (Top Seeded Teams Host Division Championships)

  • EFL Championship – October 23rd in the South
  • Final EFL Meeting at site of EFL Championship Game, Sunday, October 24th
