CLOUD 9'S 'THE TRIBE' AT DRAGON*CON - 24 hour 'TRIBE' marathon on WAM!

The cast from Cloud 9's tween TV drama series THE TRIBE to appear at Dragon*Con (3rd-6th September), North America's biggest annual sci fi and media festival, in Atlanta, Georgia. US broadcaster WAM! to schedule 24 hour TRIBE marathon over labour day weekend (Sept 5th & 6th).

The cast of Cloud 9’s “The Tribe” is to be featured at North America’s largest annual sci-fi and fantasy convention Dragon*Con, in Atlanta, Georgia (United States), over the Labor Day weekend, 3rd-6th September, 2004.

Now in its 18th year, Dragon*Con is a multi-media popular arts event that attracts over 20,000 sci-fi fans from across the globe who participate in some 850 hours of panels, seminars, events, contests, concerts, and a spectacular parade down Atlanta’s Peachtree Street.

Three ‘Tribe’ cast members, Victoria Spence (Salene), Daniel James (Zoot) and Matt Robinson (Slade), are featured guests at the event, appearing in a weekend-long series of panels including ‘Girl Power in The Tribe’, ‘Tribe Trivia’ and ‘The Mysticism of Zoot’, as well as judging the ‘Tribe’ Costume Contest. Other events include the charity auction, in which various ‘Tribe’ memorabilia will be auctioned, a Hall of Fame, where autographs and photographs will be available, and a live musical performance by Matt as part of the Dragon*Con Cabaret.

Also over the Labor Day Weekend, WAM! will feature a 24-hour “Tribe” marathon starting Sunday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The commercial-free tween/teen entertainment channel is to air replays of season four, plus behind-the-scenes footage, cast interviews and music videos, culminating in the U.S. premiere of season five on Monday, September 6th at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). “The Tribe” can only be seen in the U.S. on WAM! every Friday night at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) beginning September 10.

“The Tribe” is a popular teen drama about kids who band together to create their own society after a viral epidemic annihilates the entire adult population. The long-running series, now totalling 260 episodes, is produced and filmed by Cloud 9 in New Zealand.
