Model Shelby Cobra
Exoto Inc. a producer of high end die-cast model cars contracted with Product Dynamics Ltd to design and pattern prototypes for a new line of 1/18th scale replicas of the famous 1960’s Shelby Cobra sports car. Our involvement began with a photo-shoot at the Shelby American Collection Museum in Boulder CO. Product Dynamics documented numerous variations of the Cobra via comprehensive field sketches, with an extensive set of photographs and video taping. Utilizing the collected information our design department generated a detailed orthographic drawing of the cars exterior. The drawing and photo package was then turned over to our master model makers to create a highly accurate solid pattern.
