The initial idea for this RTP product was developed in conjunction with UMIST, the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. The combi-unit, like most truly great ideas, is simple, yet brilliant! By the use of a simple universal clip, designed at UMIST, multiple rollets can now be clipped together, for easy movement or transportation.
The use of the combi-unit does not detract from the traditional values of the rollet®. That is lighter, safer and more economical that all traditional metal roll cages, it simply adds additional value, through the use of a simple technique. Over a period of time, a traditional roll cage will distort and be prone to the kind of damage that could be dangerous and costly to a business. The rollet® will not.
Even with multiple rollets linked together, the rollet® is significantly quieter than the competition. Noise emission is mainly limited to the wheels and this can be further dampened by the optional use of specifically developed sound-reducing castors.
In terms of safety the rollet® stands out on its own. The 2002 paper by the Health and Safety Executive, 'The Safety of the Roll Container', highlighted the fact that metal roll-cage accidents represented 453 of the 2292 accidents that resulted in three or more working days being lost. That is 20% of the total. Remember the less time a person is off sick, the more profits for your business!
