Driving his special PC" Cruiser directly to the doorsteps of homes and businesses alike, Brown delivers a wide range of on-demand high-tech support that will have Orlandos frustrated computer users singing for joy.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 3, 2004 -- To computer expert Jason Brown, the gentle hum of a finely-tuned PC is music to his ears. But this wasnt always the case; in fact, about a decade ago computers were continually a thorn in his side. In the early 1990s, Brown operated a music studio that relied on computers to assist him in the production and recording of songs. Whenever his PCs malfunctioned, he would have to wait for several days for them to be repaired. Finally he got fed up with these extended periods of downtime and decided to save time and money by teaching himself how to fix computers. What began as a simple means to an end now has turned into a dream job, because Brown has just become the owner of a new franchise with Geeks On Call® -- the nations premier provider of on-site computer services. Driving his special PC" Cruiser directly to the doorsteps of homes and businesses alike, Brown delivers a wide range of on-demand high-tech support that will have Orlandos frustrated computer users singing for joy.

Ironically, Jason Browns journey to computer expertise was one that he never intended to take. After learning a great deal about PC repair and maintenance through self study, Brown joined the Navy and temporarily put aside his burgeoning tech savvy. When he departed the military in 1997 he needed he a job, so he dusted off his computer skills and used them to land a position as a Technical Support Specialist for the Gateway brand of computers. A year later he switched jobs and began to program websites, which introduced him to the complex world of computer networking. Shortly thereafter he decided to pursue a more advanced high-tech career, which meant he needed additional training. This prompted him to enroll at a local college, where he excelled in networking classes. During this time he also started a company that offered on-site computer repairs, which gave him a crash-course in the dedication and diligence necessary to operate a small business.

After graduating with an Associates Degree in the field of Computer Network Technology, Brown decided to discontinue his business venture and to seek a more lucrative form of employment. Shortly thereafter he found what he was looking for, and he joined the corporate support department of a large internet service provider (ISP). The experiences he accumulated there prepared him for his next career move, which was as the Senior Network Engineer for a successful network services company. Although Brown was content with his station in life, part of him still longed for the freedom he had when he ran his own business. By chance he happened to befriend a Geeks On Call® franchise owner in Orlando, and when Brown learned that franchises were still available in that area, he immediately decided he couldnt let this golden opportunity slip away.

Geeks On Call® is the high-tech equivalent of a doctor who makes house calls. Too often small businesses and residential customers lose substantial time and money while waiting for their computer problems to be fixed by a large, impersonal retail store -- which often keeps the computer for a week or more and charges an arm and a leg! Refusing to tolerate this type of slow, unsatisfactory service, Geeks On Call® goes against the grain and brings help directly to the customers doorstep. Everything the Geeks technicians need to complete their tasks is nestled inside their sleek, retro-styled PC" Cruisers, which are emblazoned with the Geeks On Call® logo and toll-free phone number.

Launched in 1999, Geeks On Call® began its operations in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA -- where it experienced immediate success. Overwhelmed by the publics hunger for dependable computer support, Geeks On Call® realized the only way to satisfy its ballooning customer base would be to franchise the company. In early 2001 the first Geeks offspring was born, and since then approximately 190 franchises have been planted in 13 states throughout America -- plus the District of Columbia.

Not only have the expedient, reliable services provided by Geeks On Call® found success with residential clients but also with small-to-medium-sized businesses that simply cannot afford the enormous expense of hiring an IT staff. Instead of paying exorbitant salaries to keep a full-fledged IT staff on hand, these companies simply can turn to Geeks On Call® on those occasions in which computer services are required. Now everyone can have access to superior computer repairs, upgrades, troubleshooting, wired and wireless networking, personalized training, and custom-built PCs -- without emptying their wallets.

Currently, Geeks On Call® offers service in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. To schedule fast, on-site computer support, call 1-800-905-GEEK. For more information on the services provided by Geeks On Call®, log onto www.geeksoncall.com.
