Georgia Entrepreneur Launches Web-based Business Built on Ten Commandments
Business consultant out to prove that "mixing business and religion" is a good thing. Ten For US poised to turn a profit while promoting Biblical principles and tradition American values.
AUGUSTA, GA (PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- Standing on the steps of the impressive new, neo-Classic Columbia County Justice Center in booming Evans, Georgia, company founder Michael Welsh announced the official launch of Ten For US, a Web-based business centered on the Bibles Ten Commandments. The companys Web site addresses the very real and present threat of the eventual eradication of God's Ten Commandments from America's schools and public facilities by those who misconstrue the so-called doctrine of "separation of church and state." But, rather than assume a negative and combative position, Mr. Welsh has chosen instead to reinforce the Judeo-Christian principles espoused in God's Holy Word by helping us "write His laws on the tablets of our hearts and minds." This organization is dedicated to promoting Gods Ten Commandments through the merchandising of Ten For US logo items----clothing, license plates, bumper stickers, etc.---and the active sharing of ideas and concerns with the worldwide community through our online forum," explained Mr. Welsh. Our slogan-Know it, Show it, Live it--is the basis to counter the drive to sideline the Ten Commandments. People need to know them and display them---but the most important part is to live them," asserted Mr. Welsh. "Essentially, if you don't live it, knowing it and showing it are irrelevant and unimportant. If you live it, then no one can take it away from you."
New York City entrepreneur Alex Goldstein, Michael Welshs college dorm-mate at the University of Georgia, is an observant Jew who helped Welsh conceptualize the Web-based format and overall Ten For US business plan. Even though we may differ on some points of theology and religious doctrine, Jews and Christians share many of the basic beliefs and principles laid down in the Old Testament, or Torah," offered Mr. Goldstein. And the Ten Commandments that God wrote with his own finger on tablets of stone---and gave to us all through the prophet Moses---are the cornerstone of our faith."
Dick Sheets, a former Augusta-area Christian artist who now lives in Richmond, Va., designed the unique, red-white-and-blue logo. Dick is exceptionally gifted," Mr. Welsh said. One of his earlier 9/11 commemorative works is in President Bushs private collection, and I was honored to work with him."
Background
Welsh--an accomplished, multidimensional Christian business executive, husband, father, and coach---recalls that the American Civil Liberties Union was a worrisome topic at a weekly Bible study in Evans last year. ACLU lawsuits to remove the Ten Commandments from government buildings in Georgia and other states had Welsh wondering how Americas Judeo-Christian heritage could be preserved. "Could we get 'The Ten back into the public?" he asked. The Ten For US idea was born in that Bible study group; he, his wife Susie, daughters Alex and Grace, sons Daniel and Samuel, and several friends and associates have been driven to build this Bible-based business ever since.

Mr. Welsh added, And Im proud to call Columbia County my home."
