Best-Selling Author Offers Strategies for Successful Practice Building" to Service Professionals

Stephen Fairley, nationally recognized business coach and author of the best-selling book, Getting Started in Personal and Executive Coaching, will lead a half day session for professional coaches, consultants, and other service professionals at the first ever Michigan state-wide coaching conference on October 2, 2004.

Lansing, MI (PRWEB) September 10, 2004 -- Stephen Fairley, nationally recognized business coach, professional speaker, owner of Todays Leadership Coaching and author of the best-selling book, Getting Started in Personal and Executive Coaching, will lead a half day session for professional coaches, consultants, and other service professionals at the first ever Michigan state-wide coaching conference sponsored by the Professional Coaches Association of Michigan.

The conference is open to the public on Saturday, October 2 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Kellogg Conference Center on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, Michigan. Registration and continental breakfast is available from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and an optional box lunch and networking are available from noon until 2:00 p.m.

In 2002, Fairley conducted a nation-wide survey of more than 300 professional coaches to determine what separates financially successful coaches from unsuccessful ones. The ground-breaking research forms the basis of his book. He will be sharing practical insights into how to build a financially successful practice at the conference. Professional coaching is still relatively new in the marketplace," says Fairley, If it is to continue to grow and move beyond a trend to a recognized profession, we have to ensure the financial success of our members. The reason I wrote this book is to lay out a step-by-step, researched-based approach to practice building."

Mr. Fairleys presentation will use interactive lecture, small group activities and live coaching demonstrations. Participants will create an action plan to develop a specific aspect of their practice. Ample time for questions and discussion will be provided.
