Sparks Participates in Creation of Science Fiction Museum

The worlds premiere Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame opens in Seattle, Washington

PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- Sparks Exhibits & Environments, a leading creative event marketing agency and provider of custom environments, announces their involvement in the creation of Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (SFM) in Seattle, Washington. The first museum of its kind, SFM combines artifacts and information into a unique experience, immersing museum visitors in the alternative worlds of science fiction.

Sparks was involved in constructing a 4,000-square-foot section of the 13,000-square-foot museum which is housed in the Frank Gehry building at Seattle Center and is co-located with Experience Music Project. Approached by the projects producer, Claro Creative Studios, Sparks was selected to create a destination experience that coincided with Experience Music Project while highlighting the attractions of SFM.

Because of our museum design and fabrication experience, we were contacted by the projects team to be an integral part of the project build," explains Alex Deazuero, Sparks senior project manager. Within the time span of nearly nine months, we constructed 4,000-square-feet of the museum. The publics response to this project has been amazing and we are very pleased with the results."

This unique museum has succeeded in achieving its goals of educating visitors on how science fiction often becomes science fact. Additionally, SFM Hall of Fame highlights the preeminent science fiction creators and legends that have shaped history across many disciplines including art, literature and film.
