Model Industry exploits internet!
When New Faces announced they were launching their third branch in South Africa with the first ever complete online model search contest in South Africa,their partners thought it was a mistake. However, everyone has been surprised at the outcome and still continues to be.

The concept was that from start to finish, the 2004 Clubbersguide New Faces Model Search contest was held completely online and even marketed by online media partners only. The end result was a model search contest hosted by Clubbers Guide, supported by various partners, such as Tiscali and iafrica.com
New Faces managed to secure Revlon as the naming rights sponsor and various other sponsors have come onboard with a total prize kitty to the value of R250 000, making it not only the first official completely online model search, but also the biggest in value.
The contest is in it's third heat of semi-finalists and in two weeks time, the public can go online and have their vote for who they think the twenty finalists should be. From there, a panel of judges, made by of international celebrities will cast their final vote - online, from all corners of the World. The end result will be two winners - a male and a female that will carry the New Faces title until the contest, next year.
Paul Reynell says, "From a small concept to create brand awareness and scout for talent, to a huge campaign that has been supported and owes it success purely to the internet. We have made a few mistakes this year, but this was put together in six weeks. We never anticipated the
internet would have such huge reach across South Africa." He goes on to say, "Luckily we also have great expertise in sponsorship and PR and therefore knew how to take advantage of this great opportunity that the internet provided us with. So far our sponsors are receiving a media value greater than 10 to 1."
