ECONnergy Electric License Approved in Virginia
ECONnergy Energy Company of Spring Valley, NY continues its entry into new territories. By entering Virginia's electric programs, ECONnergy hopes to expand its leadership role into VA and mid-atlantic states.
Spring Valley, NY (PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- ECONnergy Energy Co., Inc., one of the largest deregulated Energy Service Companies (ESCOs") in the United States, announced that it has received notice of approval on its electricity suppliers license from the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
This follows on the heels of ECONnergys licensure and entry into the Virginia gas market, and Texas electricity markets. ECONnergy is the first Competitive Supply Provider to obtain the electric license in over two years, a fact that has not escaped the notice of SCC staff who have expressed their satisfaction with renewed interest in the VA power programs.
Its part of our continued strategy of entering markets with new opportunities," says Angela Schorr, Director of Regulatory Affairs for the New York-based marketer. Virginia is an untapped area and we think we can help advance Customer Choice there using our experience from over seven years in this developing industry."
Based in Rockland County, New York, ECONnergy is a leading energy service company providing electric and natural gas supply to residential and business customers throughout the country. A privately held company supplying energy since 1997, ECONnergy seeks to capitalize on the opportunities created by the ongoing deregulation of the utility industry in the United States to provide beneficial energy products to consumers and give them more control over their energy costs. www.econnergy.com
