The African Well Fund announces Picture This! a funraising event to be held in Fullerton, CA on Sept. 19th.

(PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- The African Well Fund is pleased to announce a fundraising event, Picture This! to be held on September 19, 2004 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Fullerton CA. Participants in this exciting community adventure have a unique opportunity -- 4 hours to change 1000 lives. The goal is to raise enough money to fund a well in Ethiopia.

The event will kick off in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church, 109 Wilshire Ave., Fullerton CA 92832. Armed with Polaroid cameras participants will embark on a photo scavenger hunt of various local landmarks. Back at the hall, refreshments will be served and there will be a silent auction as well as an opportunity drawing. Guest speakers include Julie Cook, Chairman of the African Well Fund and Iyeshatu Manga, a native of Sierra Leone.

Donations received to date include an electric scooter donated by NIN International of Cerritos, CA, gift baskets that include items from Maggies Café and Mary Kay, gift baskets from Watkins, artisan jewelry donated by Magpie Designs, and gift certificates from Larrys Pizza and Sports Parlor of Fullerton, CA.

In order to make this event as successful as possible, AWF is seeking additional event sponsors as well as additional donated items for the silent auction and opportunity drawing.
