NFL Alumni's Charity Caring for Kids Event at Neighborhood Bar & Grill in Long Beach

The Green Dog Bar and Grill will donate one-third of the total profits made Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, to NFL Alumni's Caring for Kids. Alumni's Board members will raffle prizes throughout the day. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Caring for Kids.

LONG BEACH (PRWEB) September 5, 2004 -- The NFL Alumnis Southern California chapter will be at The Green Dog Bar and Grill on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the NFLs first weekend of games this 2004 season. The restaurant, located at 1115 Wardlow Rd., is donating one-third of the days total profit to the Alumnis charity Caring for Kids.

Alumni board members -- who are all former NFL players -- will raffle prizes throughout the day. Caring for Kids will receive 100 percent of the proceeds raised from the raffle, which includes signed NFL memorabilia, a pair of tickets to a San Diego Chargers/Oakland Raiders game and three pairs of field level tickets to an Anaheim Angels game among other prizes. Raffle tickets will be on sale $5 each.
   
The Green Dog Bar and Grill is a neighborhood establishment in its second year. Owners Steve Gregory and Dee Dee Spence wanted to do something special for their customers, who are mostly pro football fans, and involve a charity. Gregory says, We were already planning on an event for opening weekend and once we heard about the NFL Alumni charity, we called them right away."
   
Barbecued food will be on sale to celebrate the NFL opening weekend.
