Carefx Allows Childrens Medical Center in Dallas to Visually Integrate Cerner PowerChart and Emtek

Carefx Corporation announced today that Childrens Medical Center in Dallas will implement the Carefx Fusionfx Context Manager along with the Unityfx Emtek Viewer which will allow their clinicians to visually integrate data between Cerner CCOW enabled PowerChart and Emtek.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) September 5, 2004 -- Carefx Corporation announced today that Childrens Medical Center in Dallas will implement the Carefx Fusionfx Context Manager along with the Unityfx Emtek Viewer which will allow their clinicians to visually integrate data between Cerner CCOW enabled PowerChart and Emtek.

Children's Medical Center is committed to enhancing the existing information in the electronic health record to support patient safety, reduce errors and improve patient care. The ideal process is to give authorized care givers immediate access to patient information electronically at the point of care wherever and whenever needed.

Implementation of the Carefx Fusionfx Context Manager and the Unityfx Emtek Viewer will establish the infrastructure needed to visually integrate products and applications that support the design of the optimal care processes of The Electronic Clinical System. At the end of May, Childrens Medical Center Dallas conducted a go live test with the Carefx products with full implementation in early August.

Carefx has helped Childrens Medical Center in Dallas visually integrate PowerChart and Emtek. It allows clinicians to view their information both internally and externally along with saving them a great deal of time not having to search for patients more than once," said Terrence Macaleer, Carefx Chief Executive Officer.

Richard Duncan, Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Childrens is enthusiastic about the early results from the implementation. We see this as an important step to provide seamless information to clinicians in one place at the point of care. We will continue to look to other data sources where this technology will be used to bring information to clinicians in this same way."

Carefx Corporation offers solutions to historically challenging Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) problems. Along with its partners, Carefx provides healthcare organizations with clinically oriented software and services that streamline clinician access to patient information, enhance security, and address HIPAA requirements. These solutions apply state of the art technology to existing information systems and improve patient care, reduce costs, and increase clinical productivity.
