Are you holding back the hero within? Writers can be heroes too, says best-selling author
Jenna's audio message "The Power of Writing" has been selected as the "Empowering Message of the Week" for the week of September 7, 2004.
(PRWEB) September 6, 2004 -- After 9/11, the term "hero" was aptly used to refer to firefighters, police officers, and rescue workers. At a time when many re-evaluated their lives and their work's worth, Jenna Glatzer felt insignificant because she was "just" a writer.
But when a boy with learning disabilities asked his teacher if he could borrow one of Jenna's books, Jenna realized that as a writer, she could be a hero too.
"Many people don't realize the impact they can have on other people's lives if they just take the time to write," says Jenna. "When you share our stories, your advice, your thoughts, you can change the world one reader at a time."
Jenna has been writing professionally for seven years. She writes books, magazine articles, greeting cards, and more. Her work has included articles about disabilities issues, heart transplants, nutrition, and humor columns and personal essays for books like Chicken Soup for the Soul. What keeps her going is the knowledge that she is making a difference.

Jenna tells us in her empowering message that we should go for it. Whether we want to write professionally or not, she reminds us of the power we have when we sit down to write anything from a novel to a "thank you" letter.
