(PRWEB) September 5, 2004 -- Local entrepreneur, Stephanie Ash has been ranked as one of Canadas Top Young Marketing leaders in the September issue of industry acclaimed Marketing Magazine. In an awards list entitled Ones to Watch: Marketings Next Generation", Stephanie has been selected as one of 13 finalists from across the country, who are being celebrated for their accomplishments as Canadas future generation of emerging marketing leaders.

Twenty-seven years old Stephanie is Co-owner and Director of Public Relations for her company, Firedog Public Relations & Marketing in Thunder Bay. The company, which has only been in operation for one year, offers PR, media communications, marketing, branding strategies, event planning and fundraising services as its core business. Stephanie was also awarded, Influential Womens Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award" in May of this year by Northern Ontario Business Magazine.

Says Stephanie; It is an enormous and very unexpected compliment to receive this award and be placed in the same rankings as so many of Canadas national marketing leaders, whose work I greatly admire and respect. This has been an unbelievable year for our new business, which can be credited to a remarkable and passionate team of staff with international business experience. As a new resident of Canada, launching a business is no easy feat and we are constantly faced with challenges that the average business owner would not have to endure. All I can wish for is that our hard work translates into lasting success. This means continuously improving skills, managing clients with exceptional standards and delivering unprecedented results."

This is the first time that a professional from Thunder Bay has ranked in these listings and many big city" marketing professionals would scoff at the notion of operating a PR firm in Thunder Bay. Fortunately, we have received tremendous support from the Thunder Bay business community and for that, I will be eternally grateful. I hope that this award provides encouragement to the masses of young graduates who feel that they have to move to a bigger city to find professional success. There is enormous opportunity in our region, but you have to be willing to take a leap of faith. " Says Stephanie.
