11 Year Old Baby Soprano, Aria Tesolin, Ready to Wow Toronto at Opera Concert with Canada's 3 Tenors
Aria Tesolin, Canada's amazing 11 year old Baby Soprano will perform solo opera in concert on Sept. 10 & 17 in Toronto with Canada's 3 Tenors
Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) September 7, 2004 -- At age 11 she may be the youngest opera singer in the world. Aria Tesolin, Canada's Baby Soprano, at first glance looks like any adorable kid. But when she opens her mouth to sing opera you know she has no ordinary set of vocal cords.
At age 3 she began naturally to sing complex vocal scores in a perfectly pitched vibrato. Last year on Canada Day she wowed an audience of 10,000 with her acappella rendition of O Canada in opening celebrations for Canada Day in Toronto. Later in the summer she sang for an event with Toronto's Italian Community and led a visibly moved audience of 5,000 to a standing ovation.
For 2 years now, since the age of 9, she has been singing in a sponsored summer and fall concert series with Canada's 3 Tenors, Andrea Garafolo, Peter Marino and Mitch Seekins, arranged by Rino Iannone, a former broadcaster with CHUM Radio's Italian station. The concerts feature popular operas in the style of legendary opera tenors Caruso, Lanza and Bocelli.
Aria's roots are from Northern Italy where opera is a tradition. For the past year she has been working with 2 specialized coaches to further develop her vocal practice. Now entering Grade 6 in French Immersion, she is a resident of Mississauga, Ontario. She sings a repertoire of classical popular opera ranging from O Mio Babbino Caro to Vissi D'Arte in 3 languages, Italian, French and Latin.
Both concerts will take place during the Toronto International Film Festival. They are being held at Mel Lastman Square in Toronto (Yonge and Sheppard) on September 10th & 17th starting at 8:00 pm. Admission is free.
