The U.S.Invasion Of Iraq Has Radicalized Moderate Muslims Worldwide
The U.S. invasion of Iraq has radicalized moderate Muslims worldwide so that they now hate us, and are willing to support murder of our civilians, if necessary to neutralize us. Good job, George W. Bush.
(PRWEB) September 7, 2004 -- The U.S. invasion of Iraq has radicalized moderate Muslims worldwide so that they now hate us, and are willing to support murder of our civilians, if necessary to neutralize us. Good job, George W. Bush.
It's called "radicalizing the moderates." It happens in many different areas of politics, like this: on most issues, most people are "moderates," which means they hold luke-warm opinions somewhere near the middle between the two existing extreme positions. When you do something to move the moderates to an extreme position, (on either side) you are radicalizing them. Once they are radicalized, their opinions are usually much stronger than before.
In the USA, prior to 9-11, the radical left position toward Islam was that Islam is one of the very best religions in the world, perfectly acceptable, better than most, particularly better than Atheism or Judaism. The radical right position was that Islam is a danger to mankind and should be stopped, better now than later. The moderate position was that Islam is one of many acceptable religions in the world, neither to be encouraged nor opposed.
After 9-11, many moderates in the USA were radicalized, moving to the radical right position, because of the attacks. Now, they believe strongly that Muslims in general must be suppressed in order to stop Islamic terrorism. This is how the Invasion Of Iraq has now become acceptable to many, even after it was proven that all the talk about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and ties to terrorism was a big lie.
Before the US invasion of Iraq, in the Muslim world, the radical left position was that the US was a friend of Islam. (Very few people held this position, however.) The radical right position was that the US is the best friend and sole supporter of Satanic Israel, and that both the US and Israel must be neutralized by any means necessary, including murder of civilians. The moderate position was that the US was generally wrong on most issues, but should be tolerated, nevertheless, without violence.
After the Invasion Of Iraq, many Islamic moderates throughout the world were radicalized, moving to the radical right position. Now they hate us and are willing to support murder of our civilians, if necessary to neutralize us.
The big problem with this, however, is that there are 1.6 billion Muslims. And it takes less than 1/10th of one percent of them to create a million-man army of anti-US killers! Good job, George W. Bush! "Strong leadership, like in the comic books!"
May God help us all.

BUSH GIVES US STRONG LEADERSHIP, LIKE IN THE COMIC BOOKS
A Poem In Blank Verse
by Rev. Bill McGinnis, Public Domain
The world is such a complicated place;
It takes an effort, just to comprehend
The many problems facing us today.
And sometimes still it never does make sense.
So why exert the time and energy
To understand what's really going on?
It's much more fun to simply make believe,
And run our lives like in the Comic Books!
The Comic Books have bright and certain lines.
With everything presented sharp and clear.
A "yes" means Yes, a "no" means No. For sure!
And nothing vague is ever in between.
In Comic Books, the Good is really Good
And Evil always gets what it deserves:
DESTRUCTION, without question or reserve!
And if you don't believe it, go to Hell!
Go, Spiderman! Go Superman! Be strong!
Go kick their evil butts across the world!
Go, Conan! And go, Arnold! Action guys!
The world of make-believe is so much fun!
Our President is really wonderful!
He understands the Truth of Comic Books
He gives us what we really deeply want:
Strong Leadership, like in the Comic Books.
And never mind that most of it is false.
A fairyland of things that might have been
But never were and never will become.
And maybe we receive what we deserve.
God help us all.
