John Coons Joins Current Analysis as Vice President of Telecom Infrastructure

Current Analysis announced that John Coons has joined the company as Vice President of Telecom Infrastructure. In this role, Coons will utilize his vast telecommunications industry experience by consulting and advising the companys Tier 1 network service providers and equipment vendors in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.

(PRWEB) September 9, 2004 -- Current Analysis announced that John Coons has joined the company as Vice President of Telecom Infrastructure. In this role, Coons will utilize his vast telecommunications industry experience by consulting and advising the companys Tier 1 network service providers and equipment vendors in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. Coons will report directly to Raymond Keneipp, Senior Vice President of Research and Analysis.

About John Coons
Prior to joining Current Analysis, Coons served as Director for RHK's Network Architecture practice. In this role, he was responsible for providing research and consulting to network service providers and equipment vendors.

Prior to RHK, Coons spent eight years with Gartner/Dataquest, where he was a Vice President and Chief Analyst within the telecommunications group. Prior roles included the design and launch of Dataquest's Internet Infrastructure research program, tracking the equipment and architectures used by Internet service providers and backbone operators.

Before Gartner, John worked with BT Tymnet for 13 years, where he held key positions in research & development and product management of packet-switching equipment and services. His team's accomplishments included the rollout of global frame relay services for BT Tymnet. Before joining Tymnet, John worked in brainwave research using digital signal processing, with a pioneering microcomputer startup (IMSAI), and with an ultrasound imaging start-up acquired by Siemens.
