CAD/CAM Services, Inc. digitized and converted electric utility maps to AutoCAD for our firm.  We have been very pleased with the quality of their work and have found CAD/CAM Services to be cooperative and easy to work with.

CAD/CAM Services, Inc., a leader in raster-to-vector conversion services, has achieved the top sales rank in August for the entire United States. Scott Shuppert, President of CAD/CAM, feels this is due to the high quality of their raster-to-vector conversion scans.

“We have been around long enough, and have enough experience to handle most any project,” said Shuppert. “To put things in perspective, one of our Boeing / Vought Aircraft projects this year included taking a major aircraft wing of a 767 that had a hundred drawings over 20 feet long and converting and assembling them into a single Catia 3-D model--all good to within .005 inches. We were one of only two firms in the entire United States with the technology to do this.” CAD/CAM Services, Inc. is also one of the few authorized raster-to-vector conversion companies certified for Department of Defense CAD conversion work.”

Raster-to-vector conversion is the process of taking “raster” blueprint drawings and scanning them into completely CAD-editable “vector” drawings. These drawings can be viewed and edited in AutoCAD, GIS, Microstation, and any other CAD product, just as if they had been redrawn by hand.

Ed Turk, Vice President of Cornelius-Pierce Consulting Engineers said, "CAD/CAM Services, Inc. digitized and converted electric utility maps to AutoCAD for our firm.  We have been very pleased with the quality of their work and have found CAD/CAM Services to be cooperative and easy to work with."
