Magician Fooled By A Ghost?
A San Antonio, TX, based entertainer believes he
may have been the target of a ghost's prank.
(PRWEB) September 10, 2004 -- Joe Libby was more than just a little puzzled. The San Antonio based magician and psychic entertainer was packing up his props after a performance at the Alamo Street Restaurant and Theatre, when he realized an item had disappeared...for real!
"The theatre has a reputation for being haunted," said Libby. "But in 19 years of doing shows there, this was the first time I had ever experienced anything. It wasn't even valuable; it was a little cardboard box lined with bubble wrap that I used to carry and protect a wineglass I use in my show. And it is nowhere to be found. I'm baffled, to say the least. And intrigued, too. It's about time I was on the receiving end of a ghost's prank!"
Libby is one of only 40 entertainers worldwide to
receive the designation of Certified Magic
Professional. He has performed shows for
schools, libraries, and corporations all over
the state of Texas and throughout the South.
His corporate clients include Dupont, Chicago
Title Company, the Rogers Little Theater, the
Museum of the Southwest, TT Electronics,
and Catholic Life Insurance.
He presented his evening show, entitled "Wizardry
Of The Mind," on September 3rd and 4th in the
Alamo Street's downstairs restaurant, also known
as the Greenroom Theatre. During the
performance, he presented experiments in second
sight and predictions along with comedy magic and
audience participation.
"Many other people have told me of hearing whispers and items vanishing while in the Alamo Street," said Libby. "Maybe I should be proud that I was finally able to get the ghost's attention!"
