Youth Homes 7th Annual Golf Classic Benefiting At Risk" Children in Mecklenburg County

The 7th Annual Golf Classic is a fund raising event for Youth Homes, Inc. in Charlotte, NC. Youth Homes Inc. works on behalf of abused and neglected children in Mecklenburg County providing skilled foster parents, group home services and mentoring programs to prevent child abuse.

(PRWEB) September 11, 2004 -- For the 7th year, Youth Homes Inc. and Honorary Chairman, DeShaun Foster of the Carolina Panthers, invite you to participate in the Youth Homes Annual Golf Classic, September 27, 2004 with Registration at 10:30 am and Shotgun Start at 12:00 pm.

This years event will be held at Firethorne Country Club in Waxhaw, NC; an outstanding private course that is home to the qualifying round of the esteemed Wachovia Championship. Golfers will enjoy a magnificent 18 holes with complementary lunch and dinner, a goodie bag, and plenty of opportunities to win with various on-course competitions as well as a putt for cash!

Foursomes are available for $500, and individual players can participate for $125. Sponsorships are available for as little as $350. A sponsorship has tremendous benefit for a little more than the cost of a single golfer playing 18 holes! Depending on sponsorship levels, participants will receive benefits as well as inclusion in event publicity.

Last year almost 10,000 children were reported to be abused or neglected in Mecklenburg County. This is the equivalent to 27 children every day. Youth Homes, Inc. has worked for the past 29 years on behalf of these children, providing skilled foster parent and group home services, as well as family preservation and mentoring programs to prevent child abuse.

As a private, not-for-profit organization, Youth Homes Inc. and these at risk" children depend on your support for the protection and help they so desperately need. For an afternoon of golf and fun, you can become a Champion to a Child". And even if you are more of a caddy" than a golfer", you can support this event and this worthy cause by becoming a sponsor.
