The U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Awards PPC with a Task to Support Operations

(PRWEB) September 11, 2004 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives awarded the Project Performance Corporation (PPC) team with a task order to provide Product Assurance Program Support. This task order was awarded under the National Institute of Health (NIH) Chief Information Officer, Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) contract. PPC won the $14 million award for support in operations and maintenance, integration services, digital government, and software development.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is a law enforcement organization and a component of the United States Department of Justice. ATFs unique responsibilities consist of reducing violent crime and protecting the public. ATF enforces Federal laws and regulations relating to alcohol, tobacco, firearms, explosives, and arson by working directly and in cooperation with other government agencies.
The Chief of Information Services Division (ISD) is responsible for the management of all Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and services for ATF. The Chief of ISD requires Product Assurance support services to help improve productivity of the ISDs employees. PPC will support the goal of procuring these services to provide the essential products and processes necessary to enhance overall efficiency. Product Assurance support services will compliment the ISDs ability to accomplish its mission more effectively and will also ensure continued ATF mission success.
PPC's Product Assurance team will include GTI Technology Consultants. PPC and GTI Technology have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in providing overall configuration management, quality assurance, data management, and IV&V support.
