Two Steps to Entrepreneurial Success CEO Anthony Caruso shares secrets to owning your own business
A young entrepreneur launched a business with $500 in start up capital. Just a few short years later the company is estimated to have sales in excess of 3.5 million by yrs end. He shares his secrets to success.
Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) September 11, 2004 -- For most people, success requires more than hard work or good luck. But, according to entrepreneur Anthony Caruso, becoming successful in any field is as easy using the tools already out there. The key is working smarter, not harder," says Caruso. A successful entrepreneur knows that 12 hour days only make you tired and less ready to face the next day."
Caruso should know. While working at FedEx as a District Sales Manager, entrepreneur Anthony Caruso saw a niche market and worked with FedEx and UPS to bring his dream to reality. With less than $500 -- used for establishing a toll-free number and printing letterhead -- Caruso established The CSA Group in 1999, which provides outsourced logistics as well as apparel sourcings services.
The 37-year old CEOs company will reach the $3.5 million in sales mark by years end. Located in Marlton, New Jersey, the CSA Group's clients include Amnesty International, Marriott, and Samsung America.
According to Caruso, entrepreneurial success doesnt need too many plans and ideas before reaching success. It just takes two steps:
1.Work in the business you want to establish yourself in. He suggests the reason The CSA Group has been so successful in such a short period of time is that he did extensive research on the industry and learned what it would take to succeed. Dont reinvent the wheel," says Caruso. Learn what there is to learn from the inside out. That way youre journey to becoming an entrepreneur is much easier."
2. Build good relationships. Forging partnerships with high quality vendors will help you provide a high quality service. The more people that you help understand the benefits that your particular good or service provides the greater will be your rewards. I certainly couldnt have gotten as far as I have without the support of the place I was working when I started CSA Group. I realized early on that it really is who you know AND how you maintain good contacts," he says.
Learn everything you can about your dream business, analyze and determine where you want to be with your life, and then 'just do it," suggests Caruso.
