International Student Competition Recruits to Save Endangered Antiquities

Seen as a chance to take concrete action in preserving the worlds heritage. The non-profit coalition Saving Antiquities for Everyone (SAFE) today released a call for entries in a global student competition being held to recruit potential interns. Students are encouraged to use their creativity in recruiting other students while marketing SAFEs coveted three-month internship program. The internship is a chance for students to work alongside academic and industry experts, gaining real-life experience while saving endangered cultural heritages throughout the world.

(PRWEB) September 12, 2004 -- Cindy Cho, SAFEs Founder and Executive Director remarked, We are excited to offer SAFE's internship program to students throughout the world. This is an opportunity for students to use their skills in advertising, marketing and public relations to reach out to their peers. All winners will be offered the opportunity to work with our team of professionals to produce a public awareness campaign educating the public on the importance of saving these rare and endangered pieces of history"

The recruitment posters must be conceptualized, designed and executed by students. Work is submitted using an entry form and a maximum of three entries per group will be considered. First prize will receive US $250 with second and third place winners being announced. Entry forms must be completed and entered before October 15, 2004. Saving Antiquities for Everyone (www.savingantiquities.org), the volunteer group dedicated to raising public awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage worldwide, was founded in April 2003 in response to the ransacking of the National Museum of Iraq. SAFE is a nonprofit group of professionals in communications, media, and advertising working together with experts in the academic and museum community.
