This immediately makes backup resources available for online backup service providers in coastal and outlying Florida, as well as other areas to be affected by the storm.
Hurricane Ivan is projected to make landfall in Jamaica sometime Friday night, and then to continue his westward march through the Cayman Islands and Cuba, arriving the Florida Keys by Monday afternoon. As of this writing Ivan is classified a Category 4 storm with sustained maximum wind velocities of 144 mph and gusts to 180 mph.
