The History Center Marks September 11th Anniversary with Special Event and Free Admission for Military, Firefighters and Police Officers
9/11 Anniversary Special Event and Free Admission to History Museum for Military, Firefighters and Police Officers
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 12, 2004 --- To mark the anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Orange County Regional History Center announced today that it will offer free admission to all members of the military as well as local police officers and firefighters with valid ID on Saturday, September 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The History Center also planned a special event entitled Celebrating American Ingenuity" sponsored by the Orlando Federal Credit Union on Saturday, September 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Join the Orlando Fire Department, Orange County SWAT team and Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary as they roll out a day of fun and excitement.
From the SWAT team Hummer and events from Fantasy of Flight to historic high wheel bicycles, Model A Fords and contemporary motorcycles from todays Orange County Sheriff, Americas transportation ingenuity comes to life at this one-time event.
The History Center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday-Saturday) and from noon to 5 p.m. (Sunday). General admission is $7, students with a valid student ID and seniors (60+) are $6.50 and children ages 3-12 are $3.50. Historical Society members and children under the age of 3 are free. Visitors receive two hours of FREE covered parking at the Orlando Public Library with paid admission (not valid for special events).
