Meet the Standard EHS Training

Finally, employers can be sure their EHS training programs are effective.

Old Saybrook, CT (PRWEB) September 12, 2004 -- Does your companys environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program meet regulatory requirements? Does it increase the safety and health of workers? Enhance environmental performance? Improve the companys bottom line?

There had been no reliable way to answer any of those questions until an EHS training consensus standard was developed by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), in cooperation with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The standard, known as Z490.1, establishes certain criteria for the development, delivery, evaluation, and management of EHS programs.

To help you implement the standard, Business and Legal Reports, Inc. (BLR) offers Accepted EHS Training Practices: An Implementation Guide." Developed in partnership with the National Environmental, Safety, and Health Training Association (NESHTA), the Guide helps you meet the Z490.1 criteria with an assortment of tools, including a sample EHS policy.

The Guide comes in two formats: print and PDF download. To order, visit Catalog.BLR.com or call 1-800-727-5257. http://catalog.blr.com/product.cfm?product=10007660

Located in Old Saybrook, CT, Business & Legal Reports has been the plain-English source for state safety, human resources, environmental, and compensation compliance and training products since 1977.
