NUTRISOURCE's production will be split into three divisions:
Dehydration Plant - located in Vancouver B.C, presently moving from pilot scale to full commercial production of high nutritive value, dehydrated fruit and vegetables.. This new exciting process utilizes advanced technology that has the capability of dehydrating product gently and economically to preserve the color, flavor and active compounds. It is being employed to produce high margin products for the functional food market. NutriSource will be supplying to several organic nutritional and functional food manufacturers.
Botanical Extraction Plant - located in Richmond, B.C., produces a full line of botanical extracts, both powdered and liquid as well as a certified organic line. It is equipped with rotary evaporators, vacuum and spray dryers, a cryogenic mill and an encapsulation and bottling line. The plant is Kosher certified and GMP compliant. The customer focus is the U.S. dietary supplement and functional food market.
Super Critical Fluid Extraction (SFE) - Ltd. in Saltspring, B.C. where chemical engineers specializing in botanical oil extraction uses sophisticated supercritical phase extraction equipment to produce botanical isolates. Rare and valuable antioxidants such as astaxanthin and omega 3 oils such as DHA and EPA can be fractionated from crude botanical oils. Several pilot projects are underway with the expectation to ramp production up to the commercial level.
