Click Fraud is the practice of clicking on an advertisement served by a search engine for the sole purpose of forcing the advertiser to pay for the click. Your competitors can do this to deplete your marketing budget or advertising affiliates can do this to increase their Pay per Click revenue. Clicks can be automated (done by software robots) or manually by low cost workers.
Fraudulent clicks can now be detected from raw server log files with the latest additions in the products from SurfStats.
